Ginkgo Biloba and White Pine
Stop by and grab a Ginkgo Tree or 3. These trees have been found in fossils dating 270 million years ago. They are the oldest living tree in the world. Very tolerant of soils and sun, these are easy to grow. In the fall they turn a stunning yellow and then drop 90% of their leaves in 24 hours. That day is known as 'Ginkgo Day' and it's considered very good luck to catch a falling leaf!!! $20 each or 3 for $50.
While your at pick up a White Pine, it's the Michigan state tree. They are very tolerant and easy to grow. They have long soft needles and make a great windbreak. $15 each or 3 for $40.
Eastern Redbud
One of my most popular plants is the Eastern Redbud. At 15 to 25 feet tall and wide, with its stunning colors and textures, it’s a perfect addition to any landscape. Beautiful blooms that bring the butterflies in early!
Hairy Beardtongue
If you’re a plant enthusiast, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Hairy Beardtongue is currently in bloom. While not many people know of it, this unique and incredibly beautiful plant is one of my treasured specimens. It reaches up to 2 feet tall with delicate blooms in the spring.

My name is Don Kuick. I live just north of South Haven, MI. As a certified arborist with the Illinois and Michigan Arborist Associations, including the International Society of Arboriculture, I offer quality consultation for the health of plants, designs for small gardens, unique specimen advice, and ecosystem development. I work with local nurseries to bring quality plants to my clients with respect to their vision AND budget. I've been doing this for over 30 years. It is my passion.
